The story this time are a bit more complex and contains a more details. Ovrall the flow of the story is very good, but at the end it skips around a bit and it feels like a few details was accidentally left out. Even when English isn't my native language I found a few spelling mistakes and gramatical mistakes. Something that gave me a feeling that the book was somewhat rushed out the door.
But my main gripe is that there is reference to meta-game information. I don't think someone would conciously refer to things at TL 5 or 6, but thinking more about if the equipment was advanced enough to have radio tubes, transistors or microchips and compatible with equipment X.
Even for these gripes, I find the book quite good. Not Heinlein stuff, but it gives good impression of how life is for Reformation Coalition crew and how relations with the surrounding systems develop.
As the first book, Dream of Chaos has a chapter in the back with library data that explains game universe phrases and equipment. The book itself does not require the first book to be enjoyable or understandable as the story is stand alone.
It has been rumored that this book and Death of Wisdom will be available on the second TNE CD from FFE. It will probably even contain the never published Backward Mask which is the third and final novel in this series.
