Vargr has always been my favourite in the Traveller Universe. So it was with great anticipation that I ordered my very first MgT product. As I have no actual love for the MgT system and basically bought the book because my name appears on the credit page, I will try to give it a fair review.

Careers Book2, published by Spica Publishing Limited, was written by John Griffiths, Nik Kraakenes and Richard Hazelwood. This book continues what started in Careers Book One; like the first, this book introduces a number of careers, and is clearly written and well laid out with good art.

At 188 pages, this new production of the Traveller rules offers players who don’t wish to play GURPS a means to play Traveller.
Like a predecessor, The Traveller Book, which it bears a strong resemblance to, this book contains all the rules that a referee needs to create and run Traveller adventures. Within its pages, players will find the character generation system, equipment, vehicles, and starships needed to tackle those adventures. In short, it is a stand alone product.

In my opinion is Traveller Universe one of the best tools a Traveller Referee can have in his tool box. For those who do not know it Traveller Universe is the stellar mapping software for Traveller. The software is currently available in version one. Versions two and three are planned which will respectivelly contain world detailing and dynamic NPC design. However, when the other versions will become available is not known.

A review of Mongoose Publishing’s Traveller Book 1, Mercenary, by Bryan Steele MGT Mercenary is a solid, though not spectacular, addition to the Traveller line. While it has its good points, several flaws keep it from shining: the equipment section, while somewhat modernized, still does not compare with CT’s LBB4, and many of the items are either poorly thought out (Plate armor will NOT have as low of a rating as 3 against anything except firearms, and the ATGT, a TL-15 vehicle, needs to be Grav instead of tracked

Review of Careers Book 1, by Richard Hazelwood and Spica Publishing Limited Spica Publishing Limited has published a set of alternate career events tables for the non-military careers-- presented in the Traveller Main Book (TMB), using a d66 roll (rolling two d6s and taking one for the tens and one for the ones) much as Mercenary has done.
