Invisibility (11+)
This power is natural for Droyne, but some do also have this power. The power is rare, and often missed during testing.
Invisibility enables the subject to wipe itself out of the mind of any observers within range. This power only works on intelligent beings. Electronic surveillance cameras, robots and other non-biological entities will not be affected by this. Sophonts that are psionical incapable will neither be affected, like the Hiver.
People with this ability often got telepathy abilities, and thus got a +1 on the die-roll for that skill cluster.
When this skill is in use, the performer may not do any task that requires high level of concentration. If the performer is interrupted or distracted a formidable roll task has to be performed to maintain invisibility.
The range of the ability is the same as the Invisibility asset in meters, and lasts for 10 minutes. For each stage above basic, the range may be doubled or extend the time with another 10 minutes, or a combination of range and duration improvement.
Disguise (10+)
This ability are easier to control than invisibility, however it still do not work on surveillance equipment or robots and other psionically immune entities.
This ability gives the performer a limited cover of disguise. However the disguise must stay within the boundaries of the shape of the performer. Thus a grown man can’t pass as a child. Neither does the disguise alter the voice, only the appearance.
At stage 3 or better, the performer may use the ability to disguise himself as a specific person of approximate same size (+/- 10% in mass). Else the power works pretty much as the invisibility power when it comes to range and duration.
Shape Change (11)
This power is for those who wants true disguise. However, clothes are not changed, only the physical appearance. Neither are the physical stats. Duration for the shape change is 30 minutes. The shape the performer can change to are limited to racial origin, thus it is not possible to change from human to hiver, but at stage 4 the shape may be changed to another humanoid shape like Vargr or Aslan. The apparent mass can be changed, but the real mass is never changed.
At Basic level only basic feature may be changed as eye, hair and skin color, facial configuration and apparent mass at 1% up or down per shape change asset.
For each stage above basic the duration may be increased with 10 minutes or apparent mass with additional 5%
At stage one the racial features must be kept within the race (i.e. human remain within human form)
At stage 2 physical features may be changed more towards alien form, but the alien form must be very similar to the performer’s origin when it comes to joints, number of fingers and so on.
At stage three major feature changes possible, most notable with skin texture and appearance. Skin may be changed to fur, scales and so on.
At stage 4 an alien form may be taken like human changes to a Vargr with all the features.
Any higher stage and the shape shifter may choose any shape he likes so long he keeps the main body configuration. With other words a humanoid shape shifter cannot change into a K’kree or Hiver.
Polymorph (11)
This ability gives the performer the power to change the physical appearance to solid objects. However, the power has its limits. It cannot change type of material from stone to plastics or such. The material will stay the same.
This power is often used to destroy evidence or make tools out of something that may not be so useful in the current situation.
At basic level the item must be rather soft like clay and may mass in grams times 10 equal to the performer’s polymorph asset. For each stage above basic the mass may be doubled or a harder material may be changed. At basic, the material must be rather soft like clay or putty.
Polymorph may be used as a weapon, but the performer must touch the target. Each stage level does 1D6 of damage
- Basic: wet clay or putty
- Stage 2: items of rubber or soft plastics
- Stage 3: clothes, paper, fabrics and hard plastics
- Stage 4: wood and other hard biological materials as bones.
- Stage 5: stone and soft minerals like gold and lead
- Stage 6: Hard metals
- Stage 7: Crystals
Longlivety (11)
This power is passive and works subconsciously affecting the process of aging. When it is time to roll for aging, first consult this skill. Psionic drugs do not have any effect on this skill as it is thought to be working all the time passively.
When it is time for aging test, consult this skill once and find the stage. For each stage there is one DM earned for the aging roll. At basic success one DM is earned, but the PSI level is permanently reduced with one. For each stage above basic additional DMs are earned, without the PSI drop. When PSI reaches 0, all psi abilities are lost as, it has burned itself out keeping the person alive.
Any DM earned are distributed to the different aging rolls PRIOR to the aging rolls.
